Alexandria, a city of multicultural heritage, has recently been the subject of a new book by the Alexandrina Cultural Foundation, titled “Memories, Evidence, and Documentation of the Italian Presence in Alexandria.” The book contains documented information, supported by scholarly sources, about sixty buildings in the city that still stand and are listed as heritage sites. It also provides itineraries for visiting these buildings to contribute to the promotion of heritage tourism in the city. The book was edited by Dr. Ayat ElMihy, the Foundation’s Executive Director, and features a foreword and review by Professor Ezio Godli, Professor of Architectural History – University of Florence, Italy.
