Dr. Injy Naguib

Dr. Ayat El Mihy

This talk examined how Alexandria’s built environment across successive historical periods physically embodies the city’s layered cultural diversity. Dr. Injy Naguib traced how each era left distinct architectural imprints (urban planning, building typologies, ornamentation, and material use) shaped by the communities who inhabited the city at the time, arguing that Alexandria’s architecture functions as a tangible record of its multicultural identity rather than a single unified style.
